The Classic Hit-song "Respect", sung by Aretha Franklin, has become an anthem for women everywhere. But, wouldn't it be funny if the song was written by a man ? Guess what: it was written by Otis Redding. And the message was intended to reflect the male perspective. Thus rendering it's later theme 100% useless & incorrect.
The song "Respect" was originally written by a man, for men. This shouldn't surprise anyone who listens carefully to the lyrics. The undertones clearly suggest which gender was meant to speak a defined message. Please show "just alittle respect". Please.
In the 2nd clip; while singing live at Monerey in
1967; Otis Redding mentioned: how the song was "taken" from
him. It's somewhat interesting how the man who wrote "Respect" actually stated those words. (appears at 3:25 on the counter)
Men's Rights Movement: Main Purpose
Here's an interesting fact regarding the Men's Rights Movement: They don't join together as a fighting force. It's the most non-threatening advocacy group ever conceived.
And, for the most part, The Men's Movement formulated as a reactionary editorial response. Here's a brief example, to demonstrate the point:
Let's suppose, every possible stereotype favors women. (Please, for-arguments-sake) .....pretend that she's given total privilege, throughout society.
Whether, people generally take sides with women, during a debate, or, during any competition, spectators always "root for the woman" to win.
Aside from all else, she's also given the right to complain. Perhaps, you can recall dozens of News stories which claim that all "media bias" is against women. Ironically, this happens to be another advantage for her-sake.
Basically, when she speaks, people listen.
She's given a very special place, in society. The list could include any number of examples. 1) she can wear a hat indoors 2) Eye-glasses are considered to be attractive on women. 3) Maternal figures are revered as the pinnacle of humanity. 4) her body is considered God's Precious gift.
Plus, you can read thousands additional examples throughout this website. Indeed, she has many advantages, in daily social-life.
But, despite this, men are not the least bit angered. In fact, it wouldn't matter if she had every advantage imaginable. You would never see a website dedicated toward men's rights, if it were not for Women's Groups.
So, it's important to clarify misconceptions. Websites, such as this, were not created to combat against social bias. Although, we've categorically listed thousands of examples of feminine privilege, this only serves to dispute claims made by Women's Groups.
Basically, the entire foundation of feminism is based upon the notion that women are socially oppressed. And, this is why Men's Groups actively challenge these claims.
It's interesting to note: the overall message of feminism suggests that it's O.K. to abuse men, so long as a justified reason is given. This is why the media repeatedly defines women as the overall victims. Hence, a simple mentality sets forth into motion. This dogma somehow gives her the right to treat men like such an inhumane manner. You've seen this method used countless times: Whenever Activists claim that "women are negatively stereotyped", IT literally gives them the license to destroy the accused.
......So, please consider this when reading any Men's Website. We often list countless examples of matriarchal social privileges. But, the only reason why we do this, is to challenge feminist theories. Otherwise, there's no man who'd even bother to start an M.R.A. website. It wouldn't matter if every social privilege belonged to women.
Men's Activists only exist because Women's Groups remain active.
Another Goal:
Many people accuse M.R.A.'s of mixing our mere personal perspective along with public-advocacy. After all, it's just a matter of one's own opinion. Right?
In truth, Men's Activists are usually reluctant to become involved. Yet merely concede out of necessity.
But, theyare observers. And, his commentary should be regarded as an editorial response.
This gives M.R.A.'s tremendous freedom to continue listing various issues. And, he should not be criticized for doing so.
After-all, he's the sideliner. Men usually sit by as mere spectators, while forces throughout the media collectively abuse him. This is a primary reason why it's necessary to formulate a counter-movement.
Ask yourself a simple question: What comes to mind, whenever you think of the term "Men's Rights". people usually dismiss the idea as being absurd.
For decades: ...A typical argument quickly states that, "there are no laws which discriminate against men".
However, they fail to consider: It's entirely possible for men to be 2nd class citizens, .......even if there are No bias laws against him, whatsoever.
Actually, legal matters comprise a small portion of the overall spectrum.
And, it's unnecessary to include this narrow field into the equation. SO, whether-or-not men are oppressed by government is completely irrelevant.
There are many forms of bias, which bear no relation whatsoever to legal-issues:
---Each & every day, there are scores of newspaper articles which promote "Female unity". ---Plus, there are daily Talk-Shows which literally remain at his throat. ---Also, the News-Media structures its topics to focus toward women. ---There's an additional lack of sensitivity shown for men. ---We've all heard jokes about the "fragile male ego". or, "men who have difficulty accepting orders from a woman". These type of insults can be witnessed every single day. ---Also, most mainstream magazines are specifically geared toward the female reader.
Regardless of circumstances, Men are constantly being reminded, that, the entire system fights against him.
Not to mention, countless social issues. women are given wider options. ------She can strive ahead and pursue her goals. ----- But, if she doesn't gain success, nobody regards her as a failure.
Aside from all else, whether or not such matters are the least bit offensive, Nonetheless, things are still seen from her perspective. And, please bear to mind, this process repeats itself again and again.
(Ironically, amongst other things, there are certainly biased laws which affect men, as well as, social standards which grant wider freedoms to women. But, that's a separate issue).
The issues are widely disputed. And, to most people, it seems outlandish to even suggest there's any bias against men. Afterall, ......we're constantly being reminded of so-called "Women's Rights". But, its validity rests upon a few specific, narrow issues. (...IE : discrimination in the work-force). However, it completely ignores all social aspects which have changed little spanning generations.
Above all else, intangible factors should also be taken into account. For example: The dating arena certainly acts to the woman's advantage. She's allowed to criticize the opposite sex, ......or, demand proper behavior from him. .....or, create lists describing precisely what she's looking for, in a man. ......or, she can make unrealistic requirements which her partner must qualitfy.. ..... or, she can bluntly state which things impress her the most. .......and, what trivial matters are either Turn-Ons or Turn-Offs. ......women can also speak in a somewhat egotystical manner. For example: she might give advice to men which could help him "succeed with women". -----Plus, women are given the option to make unreasonable demands. ..... and they can speak frankly without repercussion. ...... Also, whenever men seek partnership, he's always faced against condescending remarks. People tell him how he should act. .... and, every expression imaginable targets against men. For example: there are tips from dating professionals, telling him, "The right things to do". or, "if you wanna get somewhere with her".
and, if he fails, then people will bluntly tell him "he really blew it".
Okay, that's a lesson in Reality.
Now, with all things considered:
Have you ever wondered why the media directs its attention toward feminism ? There's clearly a wide range of issues beyond this narrow spectrum.
It's quite unfortunate but, feminism is . THIS ARTICLE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Supporters might say that "it helps women achieving success", etc etc etc. But, if you want to establish why feminism is so terribly wrong. Just consider one basic fact: They maintain total control over public mindset. And, we are constantly being reminded of their presence. It almost seems like a deliberate attempt to abuse the male viewers. Just by So, This is precisely how men are treated like 2nd class beings. And, It's not easy to decipher. Often, there are no tangible laws involved. Nor are there definitive harsh insults. Or, any biased remarks. But, instead, their bias shows just by directing their attention toward women.
Now, this proves to be somewhat frustrating, because it's difficult to prove any wrong-doing.
SO, for example: lets suppose, you're watching the NBC Today show. And, there's a segment which discusses "Modern Career Women & Their busy Lives".
So, they spend the next 25 minutes discussing the issue. Along with a guest on the program who's written a book about it. But, with all said, it all seems perfactly reasonable. Afterall: There were No actual insults directed against men, nor, was there any form of legal oppression.
Therefore, we can't actually suggest they've done anything wrong. SO, it's never recognized as a terrible injustice. However, similar articles have appeared countless times before.
You can observe this, from day to day. Quite simply: There's always a senseless headline focusing upon women,
Frequently Asked Question:
why would anyone become a Men's Rights Activist? After all, there's really no need to represent the group who's already privileged.
If you search through newspaper articles and what-have-you, you'll quickly notice, there are many issues which surround women. SO, let's ask ourselves a simple question: What do these articles have in common? And, how exactly should they be considered unfair.
The most important issues could be summed into a few basic categories. And, These are inequities which are rarely considered. But, they represent the gravest forms of gender inequality.
And, here are just a few examples:
1) The Special-Interest factor. This issue should not be underestimated. There's simply no privilege of
greater importance.. Basically, women receive a great deal of special
attention.
2) The whole attitude which surrounds women. Thus proving, there's more to the articles than meets the eye. Most headlines create an overall feeling which transcends the issues. SO, it doesn't matter which story abounds, on any given day.The media creates an overall environment which is favorable to the woman.
3) Each time the media focuses upon women, It's basically a form of Harassment. they're keeping you in a feminized mindset. and, you're never able to break free from their influence.
4) There's a unifying factor involved. The media teaches women to connect with one another. It's sometimes been called "female bondage". but, in any case, it's designed to be discouraging to the male. (the expression "female togetherness" is one such example.)
SO, this is another form of privilege for women.
Perhaps, you'll never look at the so-called "woman's Movement" the same, again.
The media promotes unity & togetherness amongst women.
5) Men are taught to be the listeners,
while it's considered correct for the woman to speak out.
This is why "Women's Issues" always figure their own self-justification.
SO, basically, he's supposed to remain silent.
This is another type of inequality which few people have ever mentioned.
6) Since women are stereotyped as the 'fair sex',
men are faced with a feeling of hopelessness.
SO, whenever those Talk-shows discuss issues, such as "Women's Rights",
she's on the victories side of the argument.
(Indeed, there's nothing better than being on the winning side of these issues.)
7) whenever M.R.A.'s speak out, women quickly learn how powerless it feels.
And, the same obviously holds true each time her issues are the central focal point.
Basically, If those issues apply to you, it creates a huge advantage,
while, those outside the spectrum are completely shut-out altogether.
It could be viewed as an "exclusion" from the mainstream issues.
Whereas, men are the spectators, while women are actively involved.
But, more notably,
But, Once again: these issues are difficult to examine.
8) It's ironic how "Women's Issues" fully develop into Anthems.
Most Articles tend to step outside their conventional purpose.
They literally begin Glorifying the woman.
you might be familiar with terms, such as "Woman Power" , &
"Sisterhood".
Better examples include "Women are soaring to new heights", &
"The Spirit of Womanhood".
9) Also consider their usage of Artwork & Graphics. Plus, additional features such as background music.
10) The news-media has been feminized for a simple reason:
It's actually a form of Bullying.
Thus,
When the media dictates numerous "Women's Issues",
this is an attempt to crush the opposition. We're talking about Fear & intimidation. Let's suppose, there's a segment on the CBS Evening News devoted toward "Women's Rights". Strange as it may seem, they're trying to overshadow the male viewers.
