Social Inequality is a huge factor in relationships. And, the above song "(My Lovin') You're Never Gonna Get it" is one indication.
The animation below (from 1935) bears a striking resemblance. The theme appears to be universal, and longstanding.
Regarding the above song, "Never Gonna Get it":
The media destroys many aspects of Love & Sexuality. Women have always been taught to embrace this negative mentality. Thus, encouraging her to treat males in a fiercely competitive manner. These attitudes are destructive, domineering, and immoral.
The following song sends a similar message. "Mr. Big Stuff ..... who do you think you are?" "Mr. Big Stuff ....... you're never gonna get my love!"
Love Supposedly Hurts him "to death".... especially when she says it's over.... (Yea, right...)
Also, numerous teenage girls regard this song as an anthem, representing control. I've read numerous comments, which proclaim "RIGHT ON" to all the ladies who've dumped their boyfriends. Oh, their poor, sorry boyfriends. One lady joked about her ex-boyfriend. And how he's not doing so well, since she broke up with him. Another girl joked by saying, "yea, my fellow girls, let the boys chase after us". They'll try and try, but we're way too beautiful for them....
Okay, here's another example of womanhood being celebrated:
In a song, entitled "I'm Every Woman". This is not necessarily a bad thing. However, it certainly lifts women to an unparalleled status.
